What the scheme can cover

Revenue’s current limits are €1,500 for a pedelec/e-bike, €1,250 for another bicycle and €3,000 for a cargo/e-cargo bike. Eligible safety equipment can be included within the relevant limit.

Voucher or portal workflow

Employer workflows can change. Follow the current DCC instructions and any TravelHub, HubEx or other portal steps shown to you. If the system requests a retailer quote, create the exact cart first so models, accessories and totals match.

  1. Choose the bike that fits your route, storage and rider height.
  2. Add only eligible equipment you intend to include in the application.
  3. Generate the itemised quote or PDF requested by the employer workflow.
  4. Submit it through the current DCC HR, payroll or benefits channel.
  5. Wait for written approval and employer payment before collection or dispatch.

Important: Do not purchase personally and expect reimbursement. Revenue requires the employer to purchase the bicycle for the tax exemption to apply.
